Pastor Steven Grant leads us on a pilgrimage through the land where Jesus walked. This episode begins south of the Sea of Galilee at the Jordan River where we mark the ministry of John the Baptist and the baptism of Jesus and see the Mount of Temptation. Heading south, we visit the city of Jerusalem which is the climax of our trip. We will see the Upper Room — the same space where Jesus shared His Last Supper (the Jewish Passover meal) and washed the feet of His disciples. (More Jerusalem sites will be discussed in future episodes.) From there we head south to visit Ein Karem, home of John the Baptist, then on to the tiny town of Bethlehem. The Church of the Nativity is large and ornate, but the site where Jesus was born can only be entered through a small dark hallway which opens into an intimate space streaming with light — the place of the Incarnation.
