Peter: The Biblical Rocky | Round 5: A Promise, A Prediction, and A Denial

Steven Grant continues our exploration of the extraordinary life of Peter, the Biblical “Rocky.” At the most famous Passover meal in history, Jesus makes a promise to his closest Disciples, who stuck with him throughout his trials, and assigns them to a coming Kingdom. He also warns them that Satan has demanded to “have them,” and exhorts Peter, our “Rocky,” to lead them after Peter has turned around from his coming failure. Peter is confused by this, telling his Lord that he will walk with Jesus anywhere, even to death. But Jesus solemnly tells Peter that he will deny ever knowing Jesus three times, that very night.
