Letters III: The General Epistles

Most of Paul’s letters are written to specific people — individuals or congregations — and deal with situational difficulties each faced. But these seven letters (James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1-3 John, and Jude) are written to all Christian believers, to all the churches. Each writer blends Christian doctrine with practical living. Peter, John, and Jude were among the twelve disciples of Jesus. James was Jesus’ brother. These short yet encouraging letters strengthen us because God’s truth does not change.
